PRIDE: Shockwave 2006
I will be breaking these fights down throughout the week so keep an eye out. There is a lot to work on and I'm getting a late start. I will say that this will be an outstanding night of fighting. There are some incredible fighters on this card. This 1st three fights listed are for soe kind of championship, either a tournament or a belt! Emelianenko (fedor) is also a champion but I cannot find out if this is for his belt, it may be another belt on the line.

RE: UFC vs. PRIDE champs???
Emelianenko vs. Arlovski
The pitbull would be under the porch with the puppies. Obviously you havent seen the Arlovsky vs. Voychanchyn(?) where Andre went down like a sack of rotten potatoes with one punch. Fedor would pulverize Andre quickly or slowly depending on Andres heart(does he have any) Either way Fedor has fought tougher opponents and has ice in his veins. Arlovsky speed would be offset by Fedors overall skill and brutal strikes.
Actually no, I didn't see that fight. In fact I can't find it anywhere. I'd be interested in reading about it if you have a link, as I am a fan of the sport. Sherdog has Arlovski's record at 9-3, I've also heard it stated as 11-3. Either way, 3 losses. Pedro Rizzo (pretty good fighter) in 2002, Ricco Rodriguez (pretty good fighter) in 2001 and his 1st fight against Viacheslav Datsik (not so good) in 1999. He went 3 rounds with Ricco and Pedro, if that's not heart then I don't know what is.
Since the Rizzo loss he has only 1 fight that went out of the 1st round! (it went just over a minute out of the 1st round) 6 1st round victories, 5 KO's and 1 Submission.
Of course there is never going to be away to end our little debate unless they actually fight. I do think Arlovsky would win, not to take anything away from Fedor, he's incredible. I like Fedor, just don't think he would win. No worries.
Skill and strikes do not typically offset speed. Would be a great fight to watch though wouldn't it?
I dont see Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez listed on here. Better check that!
nevermind, wrong year. i didnt realize this is last years
Bah I am waiting to see who won. Love Fedor.
